How we recruit
01. Community Partners
GardHouse serves as a pipeline for students enrolled with one of our several community partners. We ensure that these students receive opportunities to advance their professional careers.
03. Workforce Development
GardHouse connects admitted students to internships within corporate partners, minority-owned businesses, and minority-led organizations for a semester or entire academic year. Students receive a stipend of $2,500 for completing 15-hours per week each semester.
02. External Students
For students not enrolled in one of our community partner organizations, we suggest that you submit the following to be considered for an upcoming cohort:
- Unofficial transcript
- Video Statement: Describe a problem you’ve solved or a problem you’d like to solve through your chosen career path. Think of anything
that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and
what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution. (Five-minutes max)
*Decisions for upcoming cohorts are made on the last Friday each April.
While enrolled in an internship, GardHouse offers several workshops throughout the semester to enhance your overall experience. From student networking to resume editing, we provide students with additional tools to elevate their employment prospects post-graduation.
