  • When can I be considered for placement?

    The recruitment cycle for the 2024 Fall semester will open in January 2024. Interested employers can submit or apply for consideration via the Employer Partner Webpage. Follow GardHouse on LinkedIn to stay up to date on all application announcements. 

  • When is the application deadline?

    Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with the following deadlines for consideration each year:


    Fall – due by March 1

    Spring – due by Oct 1

  • What kind of students does GardHouse consider?

    Current minority students pursuing an associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible to apply. In-person programming (regardless of virtual internship settings) is required during the semester, so students must attend school in Charlotte, or the surrounding areas.

  • What internship opportunities are available?

    Currently, interns must have a demonstrated interest in Business & Business Management, Communication & Marketing, Computer Science / Technology, Construction / Engineering, Finance, Public Health, Social Work, & Psychology. You can find project categories here.

  • What is the interview process?

    Once a student’s application has been reviewed, students will be notified via email if selected to submit additional screening questions. If selected to move forward, students will receive an email with a job description and additional information about the Employer Partner. Students will have the option to register for a virtual interview with the Employer Partner. 

  • How many interns will GardHouse place?

    Depending on if your Employer Partnership status is subsidized or unsubsidized will determine how many interns GardHouse will place. 


    Subsidized: Since GardHouse is covering the total cost of your intern, we only place one intern per Subsidized Employer Partner. 


    Unsubsidized: GardHouse places as many interns as requested by the partner.

  • What is the Employer Partner investment?

    GardHouse placement fee is $8,800 per intern hired each semester. This $8,800 includes the intern’s stipend, coaching, and development. We strongly recommend that Employer Partners select to house interns across multiple semesters to receive a saving. The cost saving is for signing up for more than one semester at contract signing.

    1 Semester - Cost $8,800


    2 Semesters - Cost $14,300 (valued at $17,600)


    4 Semesters - Cost $28,600 (valued at $35,200)

  • When is payment due?

    Employer Partners must have their payment due two weeks prior to their internship start date. For partners that have contracted for multi-semester, you will be invoiced per semester, not all at once.
