100 Black Men of Charlotte- Business Operations Intern

Position Overview: The intern will be exposed to all aspects of running a non-profit business which will include, the development and implementation of organizational policies, fundraising, accounting and bookkeeping, media relations, customer relationship management, and membership database development and management. Our intern will also meet and network with corporate executives and key government officials. They will assist in all aspects of office management and serve as operational backup for our office administrator. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Overseeing the maintenance of office systems and workspace, ensuring an efficient and productive work environment for the 100 Board and Membership team. They work independently but occasionally consult with and support senior executives, (Board of Directors and others as directed)

      Position Overview: The Business Development and Engagement Intern will be integral in advancing GardHouse’s impact. The placement will be research-based and focus specifically on companies that have already prioritized the mental health of their employees.       Latin American Chambers of Commerce of Charlotte- Project Management Intern

      Position Overview: Bridging the Digital Divide for Latinx Small Business-An initiative to help train 100 small businesses to launch their services and products online (Shop La Plaza). The intern will be trained to onboard Latinx small businesses. Onboarding includes intake of business credentials, story, development of marketing plan, and ensuring a business has adequate equipment and accounts. The goal is that the intern will help onboard 3 businesses per week. 

      Responsibilities: 

      • Review and record activity on Shop La Plaza site Daily 
      • Meet with the marketing director to review the ongoing list Daily 
      • Meet with businesses to assess where they are in the onboarding process and keep a record of progress Weekly 
      • Meet with TEAM to provide updates on new members onboarded and their needs Weekly

      Position Overview: Hard Grinderz after-school enrichment program is located at Bonnie Cone Classical Academy in Huntersville NC. Our mission is to empower, educate and mentor families and youth with hands-on experiences through diverse recreational, educational and fitness programming aimed to build character, while encouraging each individual child. Hard Grinderz programming is diverse is nature teaching non-traditional sports (archery) to K-8 students.       Position Overview: The Muggsy Bogues Family Foundation is seeking an intern to assist with fundraising, project management, and data collection for food distribution events for The Muggsy Bogues Family Foundation (MBFF).
